Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about RCM Denials

What is RCM Denials?

RCM Denials is an AI-powered Revenue Cycle Management assistant designed for AR callers in healthcare. It provides real-time guidance during payer calls, including denial checklists, decision trees, timely filing calculators, payer directories with IVR shortcuts, and an AI call assistant.

Is RCM Denials free to use?

Yes, RCM Denials is currently free to use. All features — including the AI checklist generator, decision tree engine, timely filing calculator, payer directory, batch tracker, and AI assistant — are available at no cost.

Does RCM Denials store my patient data?

No. All data you enter (claim numbers, denial codes, payer names, notes) is stored locally in your browser using localStorage and IndexedDB. Nothing is transmitted to external servers. We recommend not entering direct patient identifiers like names or SSNs.

Which payers does the directory support?

RCM Denials includes a comprehensive payer directory covering major commercial payers (UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Kaiser), government programs (Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, VA), and managed care organizations. Contact numbers, IVR shortcuts, and department details are provided for each.

How does the AI Call Assistant work?

The AI Call Assistant sits in the sidebar during your payer call. You type what the representative says (e.g., "Rep says claim not on file"), and the AI instantly provides suggested responses, escalation triggers, and next-step guidance based on the denial scenario and payer rules.

Can I export my call notes?

Yes. After ending a call session, you can generate a professional AR summary note with one click. The note includes all session details, call documentation, follow-up actions, and next steps — ready to paste into your billing software.

What is the Timely Filing Calculator?

The Timely Filing Calculator computes critical filing deadlines based on the payer, claim type, date of service, and denial date. It helps you avoid missed filing windows that could result in permanent claim loss.

Does RCM Denials work on mobile?

Yes. RCM Denials is a responsive web application that works on desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. You can use it directly in your browser without installing any software.

Is this a HIPAA-compliant tool?

RCM Denials is designed with privacy in mind — all data stays local in your browser. We recommend not entering PHI (patient names, SSNs) into the tool. For full HIPAA compliance, consult your organization's compliance officer.
